Does Gluten Cause Eczema?
Posted on September 16, 2011 by admin
Eczema is an auto-immune response to a perceived invader. Research
indicates that food intolerance affects the immune system. Gluten
intolerance and casein intolerance are strongly linked to auto-immune
reactions like eczema and other skin problems.
While Eczema can be caused by many different things. Most people don't
consider that it could be a food they eat all the time. Red, cracked
itchy skin can often begin at childhood. If the cause is not
investigated it continues for years and the person adjusts to having
this skin condition. In fact eczema is one of the most common symptoms
of food sensitivity. Sensitivity to wheat, seafood, nuts, eggs, or soy
can cause eczema in both children and adults. Recent findings show that
Casein from milk products a common cause of eczema. Another common
cause of eczema is Gluten (from wheat, rye and barley). In addition
Yeast overgrowth is also known to cause chronic eczema in millions of
people.
Foods that can cause eczema
Food Intolerance Prevalence
Dairy Intolerance
(includes Lactose intolerance) ~75% 3 in 4 people
Yeast sensitivity
(eg. Candida infections) ~33% 1 in 3 people
Gluten sensitivity
(inc. Celiac and Wheat intolerance) ~15% 1 in 7 people
Fructose or Sugar sensitivity ~35% 1 in 3 people
Food allergy ~1% 1 in 100 people
Approximately 75% of people are affected by food intolerance. If you
are experiencing symptoms it is important to investigate a possible
cause. The best way to identify a food intolerance is by eliminating
that food from your diet. If a little understanding and education is
applied the cause of the eczema can be quickly revealed.
If it is a food, there is no need to suffer any more. No medications
and no therapies needed. Simply leave that food out of your diet -
watch your skin improve and stop scratching!

Djokovic may have Gluten-free Diet to Thank for Tennis Wins
Posted on June 16, 2011 by admin
You may have heard of a fellow by the name of Novak Djokovic.
If not, let me fill you in: Serbian, just turned 24, kind of a big deal
breakout tennis superstar.
Djokovic's been having a record season: 37-0. No one has enjoyed a
winning streak like that since 1984. Djokovic's beaten Rafael Nadal and
Roger Federer multiple times, and the Wall Street Journal casually
referred to him as the best athlete of 2011.
Clearly he wasn't a bad tennis player before, but no one expected wins
like this. So what could explain the turnaround?
Maybe, just maybe, it's the tennis pro's new gluten-free diet.
A year ago, Djokovic's doctors recommended a gluten-free diet to him.
Whether due to an intolerance, a sensitivity, celiac disease - this is
unclear. Regardless, no gluten seems to equate with no losing.
What I really like about this story - Djokovic's story in general, and
the WSJ's coverage of it specifically - is that it highlights the
mental benefits to giving up gluten. Flexibility, stamina, speed - yes,
you need to be physically strong to be a good tennis player, but you
also need an agile mind
Although Djokovic has apparently lost a few pounds since reformulating
his diet, this wouldn't be enough to explain his rapid rise. If he's
thinking quicker, though - that could explain a lot.
For those of us with a personal understanding of the term "brain fog,"
it's hardly surprising. It's also a strong example of why it's worth
getting tested for gluten trouble, even for people who seem physically
fine. Not to harp on a tired theme, but it bears repeating: sometimes
you don't even know how bad you felt (or how much you can achieve)
until you start feeling better.

Mechanism discovered for health benefit of green tea, new approach to
autoimmune disease
Posted on June 13, 2011 by admin
CORVALLIS, Ore. - One of the beneficial compounds found in green tea
has a powerful ability to increase the number of "regulatory T cells"
that play a key role in immune function and suppression of autoimmune
disease, according to new research in the Linus Pauling Institute at
Oregon State University.
This may be one of the underlying mechanisms for the health benefits of
green tea, which has attracted wide interest for its ability to help
control inflammation, improve immune function and prevent cancer.
Pharmaceutical drugs are available that perform similar roles and have
been the subject of much research, scientists say, but they have
problems with toxicity. A natural food product might provide a
long-term, sustainable way to accomplish this same goal without
toxicity, researchers said.
"This appears to be a natural, plant-derived compound that can affect
the number of regulatory T cells, and in the process improve immune
function," said Emily Ho, an LPI principal investigator and associate
professor in the OSU Department of Nutrition and Exercise Sciences.
"When fully understood, this could provide an easy and safe way to help
control autoimmune problems and address various diseases," Ho said.

Gluten Sensitivity & Migraines
Posted on May 19, 2011 by admin
Celiac Disease is a severe form of gluten sensitivity. The symptoms of
gluten sensitivity vary greatly from one person to another. Many people
who have migraines may be unaware their suffering might be due to
gluten sensitivity. The relationship between gluten sensitivity and
migraines is often unnoticed in medical journals. Neurologist Marios
Hadjivassiliou conducted a study where he described a middle aged man
whose migraines began in childhood and did not respond to treatment.
His migraines stopped completely after he was diagnosed with celiac
disease and switched to a gluten free diet (American Academy of
Neurology, Feb 14, 2001). For many, migraines may be the main symptom
of gluten sensitivity.
Very few neurologists routinely test their patients with migraines for
celiac disease even though there is data that suggests that many people
suffering from migraines also have celiac disease or gluten
sensitivity. One study done in Italy in 2003 suggested that 4% of those
with migraines also had celiac. This may seem like a small number and
that may explain why neurologists are reluctance to test for it. The
reality is that few people in the general population are ever tested
for gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. Until recently, doctors
considered it to be extremely rare, but now there is reason to believe
that the number of people in this country who have some form of
intolerance to gluten is 1 in 133, or about 3 million. Over 90% of
these people do not know of their gluten sensitivity.

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
